As a longtime medical researcher, consultant, microbiologist, medical biochemistry professor, naturopathic specialist, author, and presenter, I’ve had the unique privilege of collaborating with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Michigan State School of Veterinary Medicine, and East Tennessee State School of Medicine. My careers with these institutions have allowed me to pursue my interests in epidemiology, clinical microbiology, microbiology research, and investigate the cause and spread of antimicrobial resistance food-borne pathogenic bacteria in the United States. As a result of my clinical and scientific training, as well as military experience as an Army Preventative Medical Officer, I built expertise in the areas of biological toxins, antimicrobial resistance of foodborne pathogens, and disease and injury prevention. However, as I witnessed the progression of illness and diseases among patients despite scientific advances in conventional medicine, I changed my focus and scientific venue to naturopathic medicine.
